WORKSHOPS
Learning and Productivity have developed a range of workshops to assist SME's,
each incorporating practical hands-on tools and techniques, delivered in an
engaging and easy to understand style.
Typically these are delivered in conjunction with Business Associations, Industry
Groups, Federal and State Government and Regional development departments.
DEVELOPING BUSINESS PLANS This workshop demystifies Business Planning and provides a clear understanding
of a planning framework and on-going planning process with practical tools and
techniques.
The workshop introduces the 'three perspectives model' and covers key aspects
of developing a business planning process as well as the A3 'Plan4Action' sheet
and a simple action plan for yourself and the business.
IMPLEMENTING THE PLAN AND PUTTING THINGS INTO
ACTION This workshop focuses on the key drivers within a business that underpin
the conversion of the business plan into real action.
This workshop continues on from the first workshop 'Developing a Business Plan'
focusing on the implementation process. The workshop includes the 'cafe21' visual
technique for communicating the plan to others in the business, aspects of the
role of a leader, introduction to relevant tools and techniques (i.e. time management),
organizational culture, developing performance measures and others.
MANAGING YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH STORMY WEATHER This workshop focuses specifically on those areas of the business that
are critical to survival when the business meets 'stormy weather'. Participants
take away practical strategies and actions that they can apply, to help get
through tough market conditions.
Included in the workshop are, developing strategies and actions to generate
sales, an introduction to business financials including Cash Flow management,
practical strategies for reducing expenses and leadership in tough times.
INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY FOR MORE PROFIT This workshop describes the essence of productivity improvement approaches
currently being used by big companies and shows how they can be applied to a
small to medium sized enterprise.
Areas covered include, changing behaviour within the business to be more productive,
introduction to various forms of waste, value adding and value stream mapping
and how these concepts can be applied to your business.
